目的:

This scholarship honors the memory of Dr. 查尔斯分支. Dr. Branch started his professional life as a jazz musician and high school band teacher in Kansas in 1952. He came to 密歇根州立大学丹佛 in 1978 as Dean of the 教育学院. Over the years he held several other leadership positions, including Chair of the Human Services Department, Coordinator of the Center for High-Risk Youth Studies, and Dean of the School of Professional Studies. He was a tenured professor of both teacher education and human services. Dr. Branch’s area of expertise was applied behavior analysis; he believed in empowering students on their journey to academic success and real-world achievements.

These funds are established to provide financial assistance to a student pursuing a Human Services degree with an emphasis in Addiction Studies.

Behavioral Health Professional Preparation Project Scholarship and Stipend ($5,000)

These funds are established to support an interdisciplinary cohort that fosters community while aiding students as they explore career pathways that seeks to address community behavioral health needs.

In addition to fulfilling their program’s requirements for field work, scholars attend monthly cohort meetings to discuss topics impacting the behavioral health field. Scholars must spend 5-10 hours a month on cohort activities.

Behavioral Health Internship Stipend ($2,500 per semester)

密歇根州立大学丹佛 is committed to meeting the financial needs of students who are addressing the behavioral health needs of the community.

  • Complete an unpaid internship in a behavioral health setting providing direct care to clients (outreach, 病例管理, 咨询, 集团便利, 转介服务, 等.)
  • Pursue a degree in Human Services (bachelors or masters), 综合医疗保健, 心理学, 人类发展与家庭研究, 社会工作(本科或硕士).
  • Student is not a current recipient of another source of funding (Earn & Learn, Child Welfare stipend, HRSA, CoAccess, BHPPP, HICOP, DUHOP, 等.)
  • Student is not a previous recipient of the Anschutz Services-Response Stipend or BHPPP.
